CORNO DI ROSAZZO

Nestled in the heart of Friuli’s eastern hills amongst forests and vineyards, Corno di Rosazzo is a small town boasting picturesque cycle paths, walks in the hills and plenty of places to indulge in the excellent food and wine that it is known for.

The surrounding hills are rich in nutrients that facilitate viticulture, which is perhaps another reason why vines have been cultivated in the Corno di Rosazzo region since the Roman colonisation.

Immersed in the green landscape are several small votive churches with their simple architecture and precious frescoes that frame the Rosazzo Abbey, which towers over the landscape. The region is further enriched by the castle of Gramogliano, whose construction dates back to the 13th century, Villa “Torriani” from the same period, and Villa Nachini – Cabassi dating back to around 1720.
